[0:01]Hallelujah!
[0:06]The Bible always conveys God's story to us through two main stages. One is the stage of space. And the other is the stage of time. Today, in Ruth, God's tool appears as expected. First of all, if we look at the spatial concept as a standard, we leave the road at the beginning. We return on the road we left. And then, a field appears. And today we will see the threshing floor. And Ruth, chapter 4, which we will meet tomorrow morning, will meet a castle and ultimately meet a house. So, the road, the field, the threshing floor, and the castle and the house. This is how the story moves. What concept do the castle and the house, which will eventually come at the end, give us? The castle clearly divides and separates everything with duality. Those outside the castle are dangerous, naked, trembling in the cold, and everything is exposed. However, inside the castle, it is safe and protected, and all the layers that make up the interior are homes. The final destination is home. What does home ultimately give us? Rest. Rest. Ultimately, humanity, through its long history, has fought endless wars for this rest. And sometimes, paradoxically, we give up rest for the sake of rest, because we have to fight. Why is that? We always forget that the first gift God gave humanity when we go back to Genesis was rest. God worked for six days and on the seventh day, what did He do? He rested. And He gave that rest as a blessed day. But the collapse of humanity and the tragedy of humanity began when rest was broken and shaken, and sin came into humanity, and desolation came, and anxiety, fear, and worry engulfed humanity. So, conversely, humanity constantly fights for the restoration of rest. And God, to explain His story to us, has constantly conveyed His story to us through this structure that humans can understand, using time and space. If we look at a book like Joshua, in chapter 1, let's take a look. Chapter 1, verse 11, let's look at it. Joshua chapter 1, verse 11. Go through the camp and command the people, saying, 'Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess.' Joshua also said to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, saying, 'Together, start.' The Lord's servant Moses commanded you, saying, 'The Lord your God will give you rest and will give you this land.' Remember that word. Yes, the ultimate destination that ends the arduous 40 years of wilderness wandering and over 400 years of slavery was the land of Canaan, and what was the purpose of bringing them into that land of Canaan with the concept of a place? To give you rest. This was God's purpose in leading these people to Canaan. The ultimate goal of leading and guiding you step by step is to give you rest. Do you believe that? So, let's go to chapter 23 of Joshua.
[5:01]Chapter 23, let's look at verse 1. Let's read it together. Start. After a long time, when the Lord had given rest to Israel from all their surrounding enemies, and Joshua was old and advanced in years. Yes. Here, it says that God ultimately gave these people what? He gave them rest. He brought them into this land to give them rest, and He gave them rest. But there's one thing we're missing. To give them rest, He rested, but what was there constantly during this process? There was war. There was a fight. So, why is that? We always forget that God's first gift to humanity when we go back to Genesis was rest. We forget it. God worked for six days and on the seventh day, what did He do? He rested. [9:09]And today we meet that scene in Ruth. Let's take a look at the Bible. Chapter 3, verse 1. Ruth's mother-in-law, Naomi, said to her, "My daughter, I will seek rest for you, that it may be well with you." This is the meaning of Manoah. "I will seek a resting place for you, and I will make you blessed." This is not a scene that dreams of everyday satisfaction, that a woman simply gets to eat and live. Humanity's final path is what? It's a book that explains it greatly beyond history. It's Jesus Christ. Only in Him is there true rest. Do you believe that? Today, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will have the courage to stand on the grace that disregards shame and dishonor, which is to enter under the wings of the Lord, under His robe. That person is blessed. Then God will surely give him unprecedented rest, which he has never experienced before. I bless your pilgrimage to be abundant. Let's pray with the word given today. Let's pray for the new converts, the 11th class. And let's pray for Samil Church to become a church that opens a highway, preparing the way for Jesus Christ before the nation. Let's pray once with a loud voice and then pray in tongues. Lord.
