[0:03]I was heavily involved in um, a law that was passed in the UK that commits us to reducing carbon emissions by 90% by 2050. And the UK is kind of become bizarrely at the forefront of this. And uh, I wanted to see what was going on really because I've been reading the blogs today and I I can't understand it. Doesn't seem to make sense and it's very important to me. um, another reason I'm glad that I've come is they seem to throw the NGOs out. Which I think's absolutely outrageous because uh, they're the people that have kept this argument going when no one else gave a fuck. I hope that um, they can at least get the basic sorted out. You know, they haven't seem to have done that, but I've just got here so I don't know what's happening. Um, I came last minute. Yeah. I to be honest, probably like most people thought nothing would happen and was kind of ready to give up on it, but um, I think the more people that think like that, the worse it is. trying to be forced to do something, you know? Um, I think the nature of negotiations like this, it looks like it's just it's a big thick cloud and no normal person can see through it. And that to me makes me angry because you know, the basic principles are the basic principles. And uh, you know, it's a lot of uptight middle-aged men doing the negotiations that need to see through their particular little spheres of of self-interest and look at the bigger picture. Hopefully they will. Uh, what bothers me is they'll get to the end of negotiations, pretend something's happened when it hasn't. And I think that's why I'm worried that the NGOs have been thrown out. Because it's going to be very easy to do a green wash if they have been thrown out. Uh, so, yeah, I don't think that's going to happen though. Um, but it did really frustrate me yesterday, the way the American administration were trying to talk down what they were going to bring to the table. I thought that was really wildly unhelpful. Yeah. How did you manage? Uh, I'm, I'm here as a press person, just like you guys. You imagine they'd let me in otherwise? Yeah.
[2:14]Sit and see how long it last before I get picked up. Thank you. Thank you.
