[0:01]So, what we're going to do today is make a market map of the salt um farming that goes on in this area. And the reason that we picked salt farming is because in the nine villages that we've been targeting, salt farming is important, either because there are salt farmers or because the laborers who work in the village make up 50% of the people and they work in the salt farms. So the income from working on the salt farms is also important to the people that we're talking about. There's going to be a lot of information that we don't have. But don't worry, just we're going to just get going and get something up there, okay? So don't worry about it. First think about before we even start, where are all of the places that we have information already about the salt farmers. Because we we want to think of what places we can go back to if we don't have information. skill workers and also general workers. Uh huh. Okay. Who else could we talk to to get information? individual, individual, individual. Wholesalers, individual dealers. Um so so that means we might have to go to another city in order to get it. We might not just go in our villages, we might have to go to or to talk to dealers, right? So background research is one of the first things that we want to do and then as you guys said talking to Kim and then key in my mind.
[1:47]I don't know. And then interviews with market actors. Okay so who is involved in the salt uh the salt market system? So the shops sell it to the consumer. Okay. And where do the shops get it from? You're finding factories.
[2:21]Why do we care about salt? Because you're the main business is salt. You think you said income. Income for who?
[2:42]salt farm labor farm I'm going too low, but that's okay.
[2:53]And who do they work for? salt farm owners.
[3:11]And who did the salt farm owners sell their salt to?
[3:22]So individual dealers. And who else?
[3:37]Um brokers. Like are these like wholesalers, brokers or they're different? wholesalers agents. Wholesalers. When does it we have to get to this to the refining factory, don't we?
[4:14]So hang on with me a second. This is the this is the thing about market maps. You're going to scribble a lot and erase things and start over. So the wholesalers sell to the refining factories. And who do they sell it to?
[4:46]shops.
[4:50]The refining factories sell it to local companies. Do they sell to international like Thailand or?
[5:03]Okay, but we don't know if they still do. Okay. So what we'll do is we'll go dot dot dot question mark, Bangladesh and other international. Okay? Because that's one question that we may want to uh look at. individual brokers. individual brokers. Who do they sell? they also said to brokers.
[5:46]Okay, so we think that some I'm going to go like this to connect them. Okay. Okay, so we're leaving question mark there for the moment. Um. Anything, anyone else? So the refining factories sell it to local companies and maybe to international companies and they then sell it to the shops and then the consumer, right?
