[0:08]Quality. Performance. Maxon, Driven by innovation. Thank you for calling Maxon, this is Tanya, how can I direct your call? It started as a family-owned and operated business. Today, it has grown into a world-class manufacturer of high-tech liftgates, recognized throughout the transportation industry. This growth has always been fueled by an uncompromising focus on engineered quality designed to meet customers' demanding needs. In 1957, Max Lugash, the founder of Maxon, invented the first of its kind, Tuck-away Liftgate. From there, it was a parade of industry firsts, as they introduced the BMR column lift, the GPT Premium Tuckaway, the GPTLR level ride Tuckaway, and the DMD, the first direct medium-duty rail lift. Today as a full-line manufacturer, Maxon liftgates are used by virtually every sector of transportation and freight handling. The driving force behind this success continues to be Maxon's cutting-edge product development. Initial designs are done in state-of-the-art computer modeling software. This is followed by construction of a complete functioning prototype of the new lift design, and the final stage before every new product launch is comprehensive testing under demanding field conditions.
[1:50]Maxon's approach to product quality is simple: control as many steps as possible in the manufacturing process. This results in an exceptionally high standard of vertical integration. All key structural components are manufactured in-house by Maxon. The excellence of Maxon's manufactured parts correlates directly with the quality of the manufacturing tools. Over 4,000 precision tools and measurement instruments are used throughout the plant and are audited to rigid specifications on a regular basis. Additionally, purchased OEM parts are required to go through an intense testing protocol and comply with the same exacting standards as Maxon's own manufactured parts. Once the correct parts and materials are available, the precision manufacturing begins with technology driving the process. An array of skilled craftsmen conduct an impressive choreography of robotic welders, laser and plasma cutters, and a diverse collection of state-of-the-art machining centers, all working together to create Maxon's world-class liftgates. Additionally, Maxon's manufacturing capabilities include their own onsite galvanizing plant. This provides the best corrosion protection available while satisfying customer demand in a timely manner.
[3:20]And finally, all of this design, manufacturing, and quality control is supported by the largest pre and post-sales network in the industry. The unmatched experience of Maxon sales team guarantees the best solution is specified for every customer. The technical support team in combination with our nationwide distributor base facilitates customer support with installation, maintenance training, service, and spare parts supply.
