[0:09]Climate Care. How long do you think a glass bottle needs to decompose in Earth? You can think with your people next to you.

[0:25]Well,

[0:34]It takes about 1 million years or more for a glass bottle to decompose in Earth. And that's what I'm talking about today. Every day, millions of plastic bags, bottles, and more get produced and wasted, which is crazy. Human activity is leading to big problems for our future. We are not only killing animals and plants and disturbing natural habitats, but climate change is also becoming dangerous to us, humans. Research has shown that polluted air makes people worse at math tests. Not only that, but we are killing our planet Earth. Many people are talking about how bad plastic is for the planet, but unfortunately, at the end, no one really acts. I decided to act. This is how much plastic is used in one single takeaway. So many wasted materials, which need up to 500 years to decompose, only for a 20 minutes lunch or dinner. One way you can act is, for example, eat your sushi at your local sushi restaurant instead of having a sushi takeaway. We don't always think about it, but we use extremely much water in our daily lives. Showers and baths, watering our plants with drinkable water instead of rain water, washing machines and washing your dishes, and much more. Water is a precious good, and we're lucky to have some. Did you know one traditional standard bathtub contains as much water as you drink in six months? Lights are always on. For instance, look at our school. Lights are always on. Check at home if your lights are necessary, or if you can switch them off. Light and energy is being wasted. Not only energy costs, but some sources of electricity are very hard to produce. Did you know one human brain consumes 15 watt to work? So that means six rooms are equivalent to 24 brains with light switched on. What really helps is to act. I once heard this advice. 1 equals 100. What this means is that simply one person equals 100. That when one person acts, many people, as in the hundred, are inspired or encouraged to act, just like what I'm spreading here, my TedX. It is basically like a virus. Probably, if one person acts, they will give up and say one out of billions, but that's not really true if you use the one to 100 method. So this is my advice. Act, act, and act. Thank you for your attention and remember to care about the planet.
