people drink it in the afternoon to feel more awake and some people just enjoy the taste and the feeling but have you ever stopped and asked yourself why do we love coffee so much in today's episode it became popular around the world after that we will look at the main reasons why people love coffee like its taste its energy and the habits we build we will also talk a little about the science behind coffee don't worry I will explain it in a very simple way then we will explore coffee culture in different countries finally we will look at the good and not so good sides of drinking coffee at the end I will share my own experience with coffee and tell you why I like it so if you are ready let's begin our journey into the world of coffee stay with me now let's start with a simple question what is coffee coffee is a drink that many people enjoy all over the world it is usually hot but some people also drink it cold coffee comes from something called coffee beans these beans are not really beans they are seeds they grow inside a fruit on a plant called the coffee plant these plants grow in warm places like parts of Africa South America and Asia after people collect the coffee beans they go through a few steps first the beans are dried then they are roasted roasting means heating the beans at a high temperature this is what gives coffee its strong smell and rich flavor after roasting the beans are ground into small pieces then hot water is added this process is called brewing brewing is how we make coffee to drink there are many different types of coffee drinks for example there is espresso espresso is very strong and comes in a small cup there is also a latte which has milk and is softer in taste another popular drink is cappuccino which has milk foam on top some people like their coffee black with no milk or sugar others like to add milk sugar or even flavors like vanilla or caramel so coffee is more than just a drink it is something people can make in many different ways based on what they like now that we understand what coffee is let's move on to a very interesting story the history of coffee now let's talk about the history of coffee this story is very interesting and also a little fun many people believe that coffee was first discovered in a country called Ethiopia in Africa there is a popular story about a young goat herder named Khaldi One day he noticed something strange his goats were very active and full of energy they were jumping and running around Kaldi saw that the goats were eating red fruits from a plant he became curious so he tried the fruit himself after eating it he also felt more awake and full of energy Khaldi shared this discovery with other people slowly people began to learn about these special beans from Ethiopia coffee spread to another region called the Arabian Peninsula this is where coffee became very popular for the first time in countries like Yemen people started to grow coffee plants and drink coffee regularly they also opened the first coffee houses these places became very important people went there to talk share ideas and relax later coffee traveled to Europe at first some people were not sure about coffee but soon it became very popular coffee houses opened in many cities these places were sometimes called schools of thought because people had deep conversations there writers artists and thinkers often met in coffee houses After that coffee spread to many other parts of the world including South America Today countries in South America produce a lot of coffee for the world over time coffee became part of daily life in many cultures people started drinking it in the morning during work or while spending time with others so from a simple plant in Ethiopia coffee became one of the most popular drinks in the world and now let's move to an important question why do people like coffee so much now we come to the most important question of today's episode why do people like coffee so much there is not just one answer there are many simple reasons let's look at them one by one first let's talk about the taste coffee has a strong and slightly bitter taste at first some people may not like it but over time many people begin to enjoy this flavor coffee can also have different tastes some coffee taste a little sweet some taste like chocolate or nuts this makes coffee interesting and enjoyable next let's talk about energy coffee contains something called caffeine caffeine helps people feel more awake when people feel tired they often drink coffee to get more energy for example many people drink coffee in the morning it helps them wake up and start their day students drink coffee when they study workers drink coffee to stay focused at their jobs so coffee helps people feel active and ready now let's talk about habit for many people drinking coffee is a daily habit it becomes part of their routine for example someone may drink a cup of coffee every morning after waking up even the smell of coffee can feel comforting it tells the brain it is time to start the day over time this habit becomes very strong people feel that their day is not complete without coffee another important reason is social connection coffee is not just a drink it is also a social activity people often meet at coffee shops they sit together drink coffee and talk about our lives friends meet families spend time together and even business meetings happen over coffee coffee helps people relax and enjoy time with others it creates a calm and friendly atmosphere also coffee shops are often quiet and comfortable places people go there to read work or just think finally let's talk about feelings coffee can make people feel good it can improve mood and help people feel more positive when people drink coffee they often feel relaxed and happy so when we put all these reasons together the taste the energy the habit the social connection and the good feelings we can understand why coffee is so popular it is not just a drink it is part of daily life emotions and relationships now that we understand why people like coffee let's look a little deeper and explore the science behind it now let's talk about the science behind coffee don't worry this will be very simple and easy to understand the most important part of coffee is something called caffeine caffeine is a natural substance found in coffee beans it is what gives coffee its energy effect when you drink coffee the caffeine goes into your body and then into your brain in your brain there is something that makes you feel tired caffeine blocks this feeling because of this you feel more awake and alert caffeine also helps your brain work faster it can improve your focus and attention that is why many people drink coffee when they study or work another important point is how coffee affects your mood coffee can help your brain release feel good chemicals these chemicals can make you feel happier and more positive this is one reason why people enjoy drinking coffee even when they are not very tired now let's talk about something important why people can feel a strong need for coffee when people drink coffee every day their body gets used to caffeine this is called habit or mild addiction if they stop drinking coffee suddenly they may feel tired or get a headache this is because their body is missing caffeine but don't worry for most people this is not very serious it just means the body is used to a daily routine also caffeine does not stay in the body forever after a few hours its effect becomes weaker that is why people may drink more coffee later in the day however too much caffeine is not good it can make people feel nervous anxious or unable to sleep so it is important to drink coffee in a balanced way in simple words coffee works like a helper for the brain it helps us feel awake focused and sometimes happier now that we understand the science behind coffee let's explore how people enjoy coffee in different parts of the world now let's explore coffee culture around the world coffee is not just a drink it is also an important part of daily life in many countries different people enjoy coffee in different ways let's start with Italy in Italy coffee is usually quick and simple people often drink espresso while standing at a coffee bar they drink it fast and then continue their day coffee is a short but important moment now let's go to Turkey in Turkey coffee is strong and thick it is often served in small cups people drink it slowly and enjoy long conversations Turkish coffee is also part of tradition and culture sometimes it is even used in special ceremonies next let's look at United States in the United States coffee is often larger in size many people take coffee to go and drink it while walking or driving coffee shops are also popular places to work study or meet friends now let's talk about France in France people often enjoy coffee in a relaxed way they sit at cafes sometimes outside and take their time coffee is part of a calm and slow lifestyle finally let's go back to Ethiopia where coffee began in Ethiopia coffee has a special cultural meaning there is a traditional coffee ceremony people prepare and serve coffee in a careful and respectful way it is a time for family friends and community as we can see coffee culture is different in every place some people drink it quickly others take their time some drink it alone and others drink it with friends but one thing is the same everywhere coffee brings people together now let's look at another important part of our topic the benefits and downsides of coffee now I would like to share my personal experience with coffee for me coffee is a small but important part of my daily life I usually drink coffee in the morning after I wake up I like to make a warm cup of coffee and sit quietly for a few minutes this is my calm time before the day begins I enjoy the smell of coffee very much the smell feels warm and comforting it helps me feel relaxed and ready for the day I do not always drink strong coffee sometimes I like to add milk to make it softer on some days I also add a little sugar it depends on my mood for me coffee is not only about energy yes it helps me feel more awake but more importantly it gives me a peaceful moment sometimes I go to a coffee shop with my friends we sit together drink coffee and talk about our lives these moments are very special to me I also remember a time when I had a very busy week I had a lot of work to do during that time coffee helped me stay focused but I also Learned something important I should not drink too much coffee balance is very important so my relationship with coffee is simple I enjoy it but I try to drink it in a healthy way for me coffee is not just a drink it is a feeling it is a quiet moment a friendly conversation and a part of my daily routine and I think many people feel the same way now let's move to the final part of our episode now we come to the end of today's episode let's take a moment to remember what we talked about first we Learned what coffee is and where it comes from then we explored the history of coffee and how it spread around the world after that we looked at the main reasons why people love coffee we talked about its taste the energy it gives and and sometimes happy we also explored coffee culture in different countries we saw that people drink coffee in many different ways but the feeling is often the same and finally I shared my own
