[0:11]In our first talk, which is all about God's love. 'Yung pagmamahal ng Diyos, nalaman po natin doon na 'yung kapuspusan ng pagmamahal ng Diyos ay ang paghahandog ng kanyang bugtong na anak.
[0:23]Na kung sino man ang maniniwala sa kanya ay magkakaroon ng buhay na walang hanggan.
[0:27]The greatest expression of God's love is through his son, Jesus Christ. That's why in this talk, gusto nating malaman kung sino 'yung anak.
[0:38]The title of the talk is, who is Jesus Christ? So, once again, ako po si Brother Kit Macapagal ng Couple's for Christ Pampanga. Member po ako ng Servants of the Lord.
[0:50]Nasa slide po ang aking pamilya, ang misis ko si Kora at mayroon po kaming tatlong anak. Mayroon na rin kaming tatlong apo.
[0:56]The reference verse natin on this talk is taken from Mark 8:27-30.
[1:04]Babahin ko po sa Tagalog. Si Jesus at ang kanyang mga alagad ay umalis patungo sa mga nayon ng Caesarea Philippi. Habang sila ay nasa daan, tinanong sila ni Jesus,
[1:15]ayon sa mga sinasabi ng mga tao, sino raw ako?
[1:18]Sumagot sila, "Ang sabi ng iba, si Juan na taga-Bautismo.
[1:24]Ang sabi ng ilan, si Elias. Ngunit ang iba ay nagsasabi, ikaw ay isa sa mga propeta."
[1:31]Sinabi niya sa kanila, "Ngunit ayon sa inyo, sino ako?"
[1:36]Sumagot si Pedro at sinabi sa kanya, "Ikaw ay ang Mesias."
[1:41]Kaya't mahigpit na ipinagbili ni Hesus sa kanila na huwag nilang sasabihin kanino man ang patungkol sa kanya.
[1:49]So this has been the age-old question on who is Jesus Christ?
[1:57]That's why the question is, "But who do you say that I am? Sino ako?"
[2:00]So, before we proceed with the with the talk, mayroon po tayong guessing game about Jesus.
[2:08]It's entitled, "Two truths and one lie." Dalawang katotohanan at isang kasinungalingan.
[2:14]Let's play the game. So, in this game, brothers and sisters, we will present two truths and one lie about Jesus.
[2:22]I'll give you a few seconds to make your choice to determine what is that lie.
[2:29]Then after that, we will try to answer the correct one. We will try to determine what is the lie.
[2:34]So in the first one, it says that Jesus was born in Nazareth.
[2:39]The second one is that he was born in a manger.
[2:42]And the third one is that Jesus is a son of a carpenter.
[2:47]So, brothers and sisters, I guess by now, you have determined what is the lie among the three choices.
[2:54]Of course, if your answer is Jesus was born in Nazareth, you are correct, that is the lie.
[3:00]Jesus is addressed as Jesus of Nazareth. That's what people call him.
[3:05]Yun ang tawag sa kanya, but actually Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod.
[3:12]Then we know that Jesus is the son of the carpenter, being raised by his adoptive father, Joseph, a carpenter.
[3:20]Then the third one is that Jesus was born in a manger.
[3:23]He was wrapped in a swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.
[3:30]So, as we go on with the talk, you will be discussing all of this in detail.
[3:35]So the second one is Jesus forgave sins.
[3:38]He never gets angry.
[3:41]Then the third choice is he performs miracle.
[3:45]So by now, you know your answer. If you determine that the lie is he never gets angry, you are correct.
[3:52]So, did you ever wonder if Jesus also got angry? Yes, he did.
[3:57]But this is what we call righteous anger.
[4:00]So, in Matthew 21:12-13, Jesus entered the temple area.
[4:07]And so people turned the temple into a marketplace.
[4:11]Ginawang parang palengke ang tahanan ng kanyang Ama. Binaligtad niya 'yung mga mga mesa ng mga money changers, 'yung mga nagtitinda ng mga kalapati.
[4:20]Because it is written, na matutupad sa kanya 'yung hula ni propeta Isiah na sinabi, "My house shall be a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of thieves."
[4:31]So, dun sa sitwasyon na 'yun, Jesus really gets angry.
[4:35]And the truths are, Jesus forgives sins.
[4:39]You know the story of the healing of the paralytics at Capernaum.
[4:46]Then he also performs miracles. 'Yung kanyang public miracle na ginawa was during the wedding feast in Cana.
[4:53]Then we go on the third slide. Jesus died on the cross.
[4:57]He resurrected after three days. Then he will never come again.
[5:03]So this, brothers and sisters, this is a giveaway, the lie is that he will never come again.
[5:08]We know that Jesus will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
[5:14]That's why we believe, as we professed by the first apostle of Jesus, Jesus will come back soon.
[5:21]But we don't know exactly the time when Jesus is coming.
[5:24]Sabi nga, "Not even the angels in heaven except the father." Mark 13:23.
[5:29]'Yung dalawang truth, 'yung dalawang katotohanan is he died on the cross.
[5:34]Then the other one is that he resurrected after three days.
[5:38]Nabuhay siyang muli. As we recite in the Nicene Creed, 'yung summary ng ating faith, Jesus was crucified, died and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scripture.
[5:50]Now we go on the next two truths and one lie about Jesus.
[5:53]Number one is Jesus is the Son of God.
[5:56]Number two, Jesus is fully God, fully man.
[6:01]Then Jesus is half God, half man.
[6:04]So medyo confusing ito, but you selected the lie as Jesus is half God and half man, you are correct.
[6:12]Because Jesus is 100% God, fully divine.
[6:16]As again in the Nicene Creed, we recite, "I believe in Jesus Christ."
[6:21]So Jesus is said to be 100% man, fully human.
[6:25]He walked where we walked, he felt what we felt.
[6:29]He was tempted in every way like us, yet he was without sin. Hebrew 4:15. Then 'yung dalawang katotohanan is Jesus is the Son of God.
[6:37]John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
[6:47]Isa pang katotohanan is said to be Jesus is fully man and fully God.
[6:54]Because Jesus is 100% God, fully divine, as we mentioned.
[6:57]And Jesus is also 100% man, fully human.
[7:01]Kanina, he felt what we felt, and he was tempted in every way, but he was without sin.
[7:10]Then the next slide about two truths and one lie about Jesus is that Jesus is our Savior.
[7:14]Number two is Jesus is risen. And Jesus is an ordinary prophet.
[7:20]Another giveaway, our correct answer is Jesus is an ordinary prophet.
[7:27]Of course, we know that this is a lie. Jesus is no ordinary prophet, brothers and sisters.
[7:31]Even at a young age of 12, even the scholars of the law and the high priests listened to him and were amazed of his wisdom.
[7:40]Luke 2:40, he grew and became strong, filled with wisdom, and the favor of God was upon him.
[7:46]Of course, 'yung katotohanan po doon na Jesus is our Savior, and Jesus is risen.
[7:53]We all heard of the resurrection of Jesus in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
[8:00]Then the last one, the last slide about this game, Jesus is said to be a lunatic.
[8:05]Baliw, sira ulo. He raised people from the dead.
[8:08]Then Jesus performs miracles.
[8:12]So this is another giveaway. The correct answer, the lie mentioned is that he is a lunatic.
[8:18]Instead, Jesus healed a lunatic in Matthew 17:14-16.
[8:25]Then 'yung dalawang katotohanan, the two truths is that he raised people from the dead. There are many instances in the Bible.
[8:31]Then another truth is that Jesus performs miracle.
[8:37]So, more or less, brothers and sisters, the exercise, or somehow, gave us a bird's eye view on who is Jesus Christ.
[8:45]So, we will proceed with the talk.
[8:48]So, sabi nga, to get involved with someone in a personal way, we have to see and understand his background and take time to know where the person is coming from.
[8:57]So, kagaya ng isang manliligaw, inaalam nating mabuti ang background, 'yung pinagmulan, 'yung good and bad points ng isang nililigawan, ng isang nililiyag.
[9:09]Kaya dapat tayong magtanong. That's why in our faith, we also have to ask, "Who is Jesus Christ?"
[9:16]That's why the title of the talk is, "Sino si HesuKristo?"
[9:21]To understand fully who is Jesus Christ, let us dissect the person into two.
[9:27]'Yung tinatawag nating Jesus of history and the Christ of faith.
[9:33]Si Hesus na kasaysayan, isang walang pasubaling sabi nga, kakaibang pigura, a unique figure.
[9:41]Kasi siya lamang 'yung tao sa kasaysayan na inihayag bago pa man siya'y sinilang.
[9:48]He was pre-announced. Sinasabi na na darating siya dito sa mundo. Siya'y panganganak sa Bethlehem sa isang birhen na nagngangalang Maria.
[10:04]And eventually, ipapako siya sa krus dahil sinasabi nila ay sinulsulan niya 'yung mga tao, inciting to sedition.
[10:14]So kung titingnan natin sa purong historikom perspektibo, pure historical perspective, dapat nakalimutan na sana si Hesus sa panahong ito after 2,000 years.
[10:27]But what happened, brothers and sisters, tayo ngayon ay haharap sa katotohanan na he was able to divide history into two, BC and AD.
[10:37]Bago 'yung kanyang pagdating at pagkatapos ng kanyang kamatayan.

[10:49]History is full of men and women who have claimed that they came from God. Galing sila sa Diyos.
[10:55]Si Hesus is the only person in history ever pre-announced. As I've said earlier, 'yung mga prophecies sa Old Testament made centuries before Jesus was born, converge towards the person of Jesus.

[11:13]As I've said earlier, Jesus is an absolute unique figure in human history because he struck history with such impact that he split it into two, BC and AD.
[11:26]Jesus was born in Bethlehem of a virgin named Mary.
[11:30]He was born in a manger. She gave birth to her firstborn son.
[11:34]She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.
[11:43]Sabi nga, they were in Bethlehem to register in a census. Why Bethlehem?
[11:48]Because Joseph was of the house and family of David.
[11:53]Si Jose ay nasa linya ni David. And Bethlehem is the city of David.
[11:58]Doon po 'yung pinanggalingan ni ni Haring David, galing din siya ng Bethlehem.
[12:03]Habang nandoon po sila sa Bethlehem, it was time for Mary to give birth, as we continue with Luke 2:3-6.
[12:13]So Jesus grew up as a young carpenter in Nazareth.
[12:18]Jesus was raised by his adoptive father Joseph.
[12:21]Si Jose po is a tecton.
[12:24]Tecton is an Hebrew word for an artisan.
[12:28]Artisan is said to be a stone mason or a builder.
[12:32]Parang all around, pero in modern way, we refer to them as carpenter. Mga karpintero.
[12:40]Sa amin sa Kapangpangan, we call it an luwage. So, in Jewish culture, sa kulturang Hudio, 'yung tatay, tini-train 'yung kanyang anak na lalaki into his profession.
[12:50]So kung karpintero 'yung tatay, karpintero 'yung anak. Mangingsda 'yung tatay, mangingsda 'yung anak, and so on.
[12:58]So Jesus learned his trade as a carpenter during their private life in Egypt.
[13:04]Sa loob ng tatlong taon, sabi nga, siya ay naging isang manlalakbay na mangangaral, itinerant preacher.
[13:12]Hindi man siya nakalayo ng sabi nga, 150 km mula sa kanyang tahanan.

[14:20]Wala man siyang paaralan na tinayo kagaya nina Socrates, nina Plato, nina Aristotle.
[14:26]'Yung kanyang maikling ministeryo ay nakaakit lamang ng kakaunting bilang ng mga disipulo.
[14:35]Three years of ministry, nakararamihan sa mga disipulo ay mga hindi nag-sipag-aral, mga mangingsda, mga anak nung mga mangingsda.
[14:45]Ganun lang 'yung kanyang impluwensya. Wala siyang army, wala siyang hukbo na katulad nina Alexander the Great, pero siya ay isang magnetic leader na tinatawag.
[14:55]Di ba tinawag po niya si Simon at si Andres, si Santiago at si Juan, at si Levi, 'yung tax collector.
[15:04]At lahat sila ay sumunod sa kanya ng karakaraka. But if we go back dun sa kanyang mga unang sinabi ko, matama lamang na tiyak na basta na lamang siya maglalaho sa limot.
[15:16]He will be forgotten. Kasi nga, konting-konting ministeryo, kaunting panahon, kaunting impluwensya, dapat nakalimutan na siya.

[17:30]Jesus claimed to possess all powers in heaven and on earth.
[17:35]In the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-19, sabi niya, "At lumapit si Hesus at nagsalita sa kanila na sinasabi, lahat ng kapamalaan ay ibinigay na sa akin sa langit at sa lupa."
[17:49]Humayo nga kayo. "Gawin ninyong alagad ang lahat ng mga bansa. Inyong bautismuhan sila sa pangalan ng Ama at ng Anak at ng Banal na Espirito.
[18:00]Baptized them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
[18:06]Inari ni Hesus na nag-aangkin siya lahat ng kapangyarihan sa langit at sa lupa.
[18:13]Gayunman, ipinahayag niya na may malaking pananalig na mayroon siya ng kapangyarihan hindi lamang sa mundo kundi sa langit.
[18:21]Jesus claimed straightforwardly to be God.
[18:26]Jesus' claimed to be God must be either true or false. If false, brothers and sisters, then we have two and only two alternatives.
[18:35]Either in new, it was false, in which case he would be a liar. Sinungaling.
[18:43]Or he did not know it was false. Hindi niya alam na hindi totoo, in which case, he would be a lunatic.
[18:50]Sira ulo o baliw. That's why the question is, is Jesus liar, lunatic or Lord?

[19:50]Siya ba ay magpapakamatay dahil sa kasinungalingan?
[19:54]Brothers and sisters, the result of his life and teachings have changed lives for the better.
[20:00]'Yung mga thieves made honest, and mga magagaliting indibidwal ay nagiging channel ng pagmamahal.
[20:09]The next question is, si Hesus ba ay baliw?
[20:13]Is Jesus been a lunatic? Kay Hesus, wala tayong makikitang abnormalities or sabi nga, imbalance that usually go along with being deranged.
[20:25]Wala kang makikitang sa kanya sa kanyang pagkatao na siya ay baliw.
[20:29]Sabi nga, in fact, his poise and composure would be amazing if he were insane.
[20:37]Nakakaduda naman sa sa kanyang tayo, sa kanyang tindig, sa kanyang pagkatao ay wala kang makikitang na siya ay baliw.
[20:44]So he spoke some of the most profound sayings ever recorded.
[20:50]Malalalim 'yung kanyang mga sinasabi, mga turo. So in other words, such man cannot be a lunatic.
[20:56]So if not a liar or a lunatic, the only alternative left to us is that Jesus did speak the truth.
[21:07]He was and is the Son of God, as he claimed. He is Lord, brothers and sisters.
[21:14]Jesus is the Son of God. That's why this is very important for us, Christians, to know Jesus and to be a follower of Christ.
[21:23]Christians are said to be followers of Christ.
[21:27]We will be able to know that Jesus' entire life is salvific. Nagliligtas.
[21:33]It is through the cross that Jesus reveals his true identity.
[21:40]'Yung kanyang tunay na pagkakakilanlan, his real identity, sa pamamagitan ng krus.

[22:55]Brothers and sisters, ang krus ay nagbibigay ng aral. Tinuturuan tayo ng krus, ng ating mga masasamang gawa ay sila mismong mga pako na tumagos sa mga kamay at paa ni Kristo sa krus.
[23:10]Kung ang krus ay isang pamamaraan para tunay nating makilala si Hesus, dapat nating tanungin ang ating sarili.
[23:20]Ano 'yung nangyari sa krus? Ano 'yung nangyari sa Kalbaryo?
[23:25]Hindi natin basta makikilala si Hesus sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga himala at aral.
[23:31]Sa pamamagitan lamang ng kanyang pagdurusa at kamatayan sa krus ay doon lang natin tunay na makikilala kung sino si Hesu Kristo.
[23:50]It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness. He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.
[24:00]He is the beauty to which you are so attracted. It is he who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise.
[24:10]It is he who urges you to shed the masks of a false life. It is he who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.
[24:22]Ayon kay Saint John Paul II. So as a follower of Christ, as a Christian, malalaman natin 'yung pinakadiwa ng Kristiyanismo ay ang pakikipag-isa sa Diyos na naging posible sa pamamagitan ng kamatayan at pagkabuhay na mag-uli ni Hesu Kristo.
[24:41]Kaya tayo ay naging Kristiyano ay dahil sa mapagmahal at personal na ugnayan kay Kristo.
[24:48]So mayroon dalawang importanteng katotohanan tungkol sa Kristiyanismo.
[24:53]Unang-una, ang Kristiyanismo ay isang relasyon na sinimulan ng Diyos mula sa kanyang awa at pagmamahal sa atin.
[25:00]So bilang mga Kristiyano, tayo ay nagiging bago ng nilikha at nakikilahok sa mismong buhay ni Kristo.
[25:08]Noong tayo'y bininyagan bilang mga Kristiyano, tayo'y naging bagong nilalang.
[25:14]2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old is gone, behold, a new has come."
[25:23]'Yung pangatlo, bilang mga Kristiyano, tayo'y naging bagong ng nilalang na nakikilahok mismo sa buhay ni Kristo.
[25:31]So kung tayo'y mga anak ng Diyos, sa makatuwid, ang Diyos ay ang ating Ama.
[25:38]Galatians 3:26, bilang mga anak ng Diyos na nasa langit, mayroon tayo ng daan papunta sa kanya.
[25:45]Kung tayong lahat ay mayroong isang Ama na nasa langit, magkaganoon tayo'y mga anak ng Diyos.
[25:54]We are sons and daughters of God. So bilang mga anak ng Diyos, nakuha natin ang kanyang kalikasan, 'yung kanyang kabanalan.
[26:01]At bilang mga anak ng Diyos, hindi ang mundong ito ang ating tahanan.
[26:06]Ang ating tunay na tahanan ay kung nasaan ang ating Ama na nasa langit.
[26:10]A Christian is a person of faith, hope and love.
[26:15]Ang Kristiyano ay isang katauhan ng pananampalataya. Ang isang tunay na Kristiyano ay malaya at matapang na naipapahayag ang kanyang pananampalataya sa ibang tao upang sa ganoon ay madala niya ang mga ito sa higit na malawak na pananampalataya.
[26:33]Pangalawa, ang Kristiyano ay isang katauhan ng pag-asa. Ang tunay na Kristiyano ay isang namumuhay na puno ng pag-asa at kumpiyansa na ang kagustuhan ng Diyos ay mangyayari at ang kanyang plano ay magaganap.

[27:03]At ang tunay na Kristiyano ay nagmamahal sa kung paano nagmahal si Kristo.
[27:09]And in this love, they will know that you are my disciples.
[27:13]The Lord knows those who are his. 2 Timothy 2:19A. He is waiting for you to embrace him with all your heart, and for you to be called his, an authentic Christian.
[27:23]Ang maging Kristiyano ay ang ayan si Kristo, namamahala ng ating buhay.
[27:29]Sundin ang kanyang tinig at gawin ang kanyang mga pagsamo.
[27:33]Ang bumitaw at ayan ang Diyos, to let go and let God.
[27:38]So bilang mga Kristiyano, tayo'y naging disipulo ni Kristo.
[27:41]At bilang mga disipulo ni Kristo, kailangan nating ipagkatiwala ang ating buhay sa kanyang mga kamay.
[27:50]At maranasan natin ang kamangha-manghang kapayapaan ni Kristo na dumadaloy sa ating mga buhay at sa ating mga pamilya.
[27:58]At dahil dito, tayo'y tinawag sa pagsisisi at pananampalataya.
